Finatal is partnered with a highly regarded UK lower mid-market private equity investor looking to appoint an Investment Director.
The firm invests in established, growing businesses and has a strong track record of partnering with ambitious management teams to support organic growth, strategic M&A and buy-and-build strategies. This is a senior investment role with responsibility across the full investment lifecycle, from originating and assessing new opportunities through to deal execution, portfolio value creation and exit.
The Role- Originate and develop new investment opportunities across the UK lower mid-market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate finance advisers, management teams, founders and other intermediaries.
- Lead the evaluation and execution of new platform investments, buyouts and growth opportunities.
- Take ownership of transactions across financial analysis, modelling, commercial assessment, due diligence, structuring and negotiation.
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Work closely with portfolio management teams to support strategic growth initiatives and value creation.
- Identify and execute bolt-on acquisitions as part of buy-and-build strategies across the portfolio.
- Take an active role in portfolio management through to exit.
- Support and develop junior members of the investment team.
- Significant private equity investment experience, ideally within the UK lower mid-market.
- Strong track record across the full investment lifecycle, from origination and assessment through execution, portfolio management and exit.
- Demonstrable experience originating investment opportunities and developing adviser and management relationships.
- Strong transaction execution capabilities, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and deal structuring.
- Experience of buy-and-build strategies and M&A-led value creation.
- Strong commercial judgement and an ability to build credible relationships with founders and management teams.
