A Local Authority in the East of England is seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to support a busy HMO licensing and compliance service.
The Role- HMO inspections and licensing compliance checks
- HHSRS assessments
- Identifying hazards and breaches
- Working with landlords to achieve compliance
- Enforcement follow-up and report writing (Uniform)
This is a hands-on, inspection-focused role, primarily working with HMOs rather than general PSH.
Requirements- Strong HMO and Private Sector Housing experience
- Practical HHSRS knowledge
- Ability to work independently
- Housing or Environmental Health qualification desirable
(EHRB registration not required)
- Ideally full-time
- Minimum 3 days on-site for inspections
- Hybrid working available
- 4-day week or part-time considered
- Long-term interim potential
- Flexible working
