Overview
Location: West Midlands (Flexible working within region)

Are you ready to make a real impact in your community and help shape the future of waste services for our Local Authority client? We’re looking for a motivated and community-focused Waste Management Officer to join their team and support the delivery of high-quality waste services in partnership with Biffa.
Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain the performance of our waste contracts.
- Work closely with Biffa and internal council teams to identify and implement service improvements.
- Lead annual community engagement campaigns to promote green waste sign-ups.
- Represent the council at public events and liaise with residents.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to deliver recycling and waste initiatives.
- Experience in waste management
, recycling
, or environmental services
, ideally within local government or the commercial waste sector (e.g., Biffa, Veolia, SUEZ). - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confident in planning and attending community events.
- Passionate about sustainability and service improvement.
- A meaningful role with community impact.
