As a Trust, BCHC are keen to be progressive and innovative to ensure that we are able to meets the needs of our diverse population. From this vision we have designed and implemented the BFS Virtual Health Visiting Hub, a single point of access hub for parents, carers and professionals.
The BFS Hub has supported to reduce the flow of unplanned work into district teams thus supporting our clinical staff to focus on delivering against the HCP, principles of Health Visiting and enabling more time to focus on the most vulnerable children. Together we work to ensure that all families have access to the Health Visiting service and all children are supported to achieve best outcomes.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder is responsible for assessing need and providing health promotion and illness prevention services to the local population. The post holder will work within a corporate caseload as well as with the local population on children and family centered public health related issues.
The post holder will be a first level registered nurse with a Health Visiting Degree/Diploma/ Certificate. The post holder will work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
You will be responsible for:
Day-to-day management and delegation of work to nursery nurses, link workers and any other support staff within the team (including supervision and monitoring the work of these staff)
Overseeing and planning in-service development for these staff
