Are you a compassionate, forward‑thinking nurse with dual registration in Mental Health (RMN) and General Adult Nursing (RGN) or General and Paediatric? We are looking to include such skilled staff in our Emergency Care areas and Acute Medicine Units. We are keen for newly qualified and experienced dual registered Nurses to join our teams.
If you are dynamic, thrive in a varied environment and can confidently support individuals with complex Adult mental health needs or Paediatric while also delivering high‑quality physical healthcare, your dual expertise will play a vital role in improving outcomes, enhancing patient safety, and shaping the future of integrated nursing practice.
You must be able to start at 0730 hrs for a day shift or 1930 hrs for a night shift, and be able to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays as this is a 24/7 Acute service.
Main duties of the jobTo apply you need to be an NMC RMN & RGN or RGN & Paediatric trained (ESSENTIAL), be able to demonstrate strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills. As an NMC Dual registered Nurse you will provide comprehensive mental and physical health assessments, deliver evidence‑based compassionate care, contribute to clinical decision‑making as part of the multidisciplinary team and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
You will need to be proactive and adaptable in the provision of care, with a commitment to safeguarding, equality and providing high‑quality care. As a 24/7 service you will need to work all shift patterns including days, nights, weekends and public holidays as required.

Person Specification Qualifications- Evidence of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level leading to professional registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register (Adult / Child / Learning Disability or Mental Health).
- Evidence of undergraduate education for newly qualified nurses or post‑graduate continuing professional development for registered nurses who have post‑registration experience.
- Previous/recent experience or working in an acute secondary health and care setting (can include undergraduate student placements within the last 12 months).
- Willingness to become a practice supervisor/assessor or to meet NMC standards for student supervision and assessment.
- Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the NMC code of conduct and the proficiencies and standards for registered nurses; ability to apply this to undergraduate training or post‑graduate practice.
