Ty study (TRIDENT). Reporting to the Senior Programme & Operations Manager for Mood Disorders, the postholder will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
- Leading the day-to-day research management and delivery of the TRIDENT study at the BSMHFT site
- Coordinating and supporting participant recruitment and retention
- Delivering qualitative components of the research study
- Working closely with the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit and collaborating study centres to ensure milestones and study objectives are achieved
- Ensuring compliance with research governance, regulatory requirements, and data quality standards
- Supervising and supporting junior research staff involved in the study
- Contributing to dissemination activities, including reports, publications and presentations
- Supporting the development of future research funding applications where appropriate
The postholder will be supported by Professor Marwaha and the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit Trial Management Team Leader.
To lead the delivery of all aspects of the TRIDENT study including, ethics, governance, report writing and publications.
Key elements to be delivered are:
- A] a double-blind feasibility trial of iTBS (a type of TMS) for the treatment of adolescent depression
- B] an electronic survey to CAMHS clinicians in our recruitment sites and qualitative focus groups
- C] asking trial participants to complete a PPI developed acceptability questionnaire during treatment and then individual qualitative interviews exploring experiences of receiving the randomised intervention
- D] develop an NHS TMS Services Map
To manage the implementation of research protocol, taking responsibility for administrative tasks, planning, implementation and delivery on time and within budget.
To work closely with the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit and all study centres of which BSMHT is the lead centre and liaising with other researchers in the field.
Take responsibility for funder reports along with clear, accurate and up to date project documentation and records relating to all aspects of the study.
To lead and provide advice to all research-active staff within the programme in all aspects of the research process, including research methodology, statistical analysis, research governance, Trust R&D and Health Research Authority processes.
