We are seeking a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team within the Dementia and Frailty service area. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great team delivering high quality care to our diverse population of Birmingham and Solihull.
Main duties of the job- Will act as an independent practioner within a defined community setting, while liaising with other professionals as necessary.
- Will manage a defined caseload and provide supervision to others as appropriate.
- Will be responsible for the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care within agreed parameters, and have a working knowledge of local, national policies and legislation, which govern current service provision and audit.
- Will be responsible for ensuring effective communication pathways exist.
- Will be responsible for ensuring the promotion of equality diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.
- Will be responsible for identifying and contributing to the training needs necessary in providing quality evidence based care as appropriate.
- Participate as an active member of the duty system including the undertaking of emergency assessments

Person Specification Qualified occupational therapist- Achieved grade and date of qualification
- Evidence of working in mental health.
- Experience of providing and receiving sensitive information.
- Ability to manage own caseload and provide support to team members.
- Evidence of understanding and working with the MHA

- competent in OT and mental health tools.
- Evidence of being able to provide good communication.
