Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant – Reaside Clinic

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self‑motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to work as part of the Reaside Clinic Occupational Therapy Department.
Reaside is a male medium secure service providing care for service users with challenging behaviours and a range of clinical presentations.
You will be working with the Occupational Therapy team to deliver one‑to‑one interventions as well as group work and will require practical and creative skills to promote independence and improve overall emotional wellbeing.
The therapeutic interventions are supported by a well‑equipped environment which includes a gym, kitchen, education suite, art room, gardens, woodwork shop, library, and group rooms. We have our own forensic community OT team and partnerships that support transitions out into the community.
Main duties of the jobYou will be supported by the Occupational Therapist and will receive regular management supervision and clinical supervision. Training and development will be provided in line with discussed development reviews.
We would require someone to have NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and a good understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy / provision of activities within a mental health setting. Overall we are looking for a motivated and confident member of staff who wants to work within a recovery and person‑centred model.

Person Specification Clinical & Technical Skills- Hold an NVQ level 3 in Healthcare or relevant qualification.
