Are you interested in being part of a team investigating new treatments to better patient care? Are you passionate about offering patients the opportunity to access novel therapies with potential to change their lives? We are seeking an enthusiastic pharmacist for this newly created post to join our innovative and expanding trials team playing a crucial role in the delivery of our trials.

The Pharmacy trials team is well-established and provides services across all four of our hospital sites. The role will primarily be based on our Queen Elizabeth Hospital site but will work closely with our teams across all our sites. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of trials and for streamlining our processes for trial set up and delivery.

You will be well supported by the rest of the trials team and other multidisciplinary trust research leads to deliver the best in care.

• Oversee all aspects of the clinical trial pharmacy service for a portfolio of trials, including the set‑up, on‑going management and governance
• Identify and manage risks associated with all aspects of medicines management relevant to clinical trials including the handling, storage, dispensing and disposal processes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams and our pharmacy clinical teams to ensure compliance with trial standards and trial protocols
• Provide expert guidance on any trial‑specific requirements and regulatory frameworks
• Support the development of SOPs and training programmes for the trials service

Previous experience working in clinical trials is not essential although a good range of clinical and operational experience will be essential. • Degree in Pharmacy and post‑graduate pre‑registration training
• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Pharmacy Practice, or equivalent
• Non‑medical prescribing
• Any trial related training
• GCP training
• Formal aseptic training or qualification
• Management training

• Post registration hospital pharmacy experience within the cancer setting
• Demonstrable pharmacy service to secondary and/or primary care users
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
• Has worked effectively alone and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
• Has worked flexibly and effectively on many small projects or tasks concurrently
