We are seeking experienced Sonographers to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services, delivering patient‑centred care in line with our CARE values of Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. Main duties of the job

This is a hands‑on clinical role requiring a high level of professional judgement, organisation and flexibility. You will perform and report independently on a wide range of ultrasound examinations, in line with your qualifications and scope of practice. This may include abdominal, renal, gynaecological, Doppler and small parts scans.

You will produce accurate written reports using CRIS, Viewpoint, Systm One and PACS, communicate findings sensitively to patients, and refer appropriately where required. You will maintain high standards of patient care, professionalism and medical ethics, participate in CPD, and contribute to an audit and service development. The role also includes supporting the Lead Sonographer, supervising students and newly qualified Sonographers, and working closely with HCAs, reception and wider clinical teams to maintain service quality.

Modality LLP is a provider of NHS community outpatient services across multiple regions in the UK. We work in partnership with hospitals and commissioners to redesign outpatient pathways, delivering more care closer to home.

Our experience includes over 15 years of delivering community outpatient services, contracts with ICBs and hospital providers, a diverse clinical workforce, and delivery of over 160,000 patient consultations per year. We provide first consultations within a maximum of four weeks from referral, across a range of community locations, seven days per week.

Vaccinations For recruitment to this role you must be able to provide full Hep vaccination history, including titre and/or booster evidence, MMR and Varicella vaccination/status.

Person Specification Knowledge
  • Complex knowledge of relevant pathologies and detailed understanding of cross‑sectional anatomy
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Recent ultrasound experience with at least 900 scans performed and reported in the last 12 months
  • Non‑obstetric ultrasound experience including abdominal, gynaecological (transvaginal), renal/prostate, scrotal/testicular and musculoskeletal scans
  • Doppler ultrasound experience
Skills
  • Ability to perform and report ultrasound examinations independently within scope of practice
  • Strong analytical and observational skills to interpret findings and support diagnosis
