We are seeking an enthusiastic pharmacist for this newly created post to join our innovative and expanding trials team playing a crucial role in the delivery of cutting‑edge cell and gene therapy trials.
The Pharmacy trials team is well-established and provides services across all four of our hospital sites. The role will be responsible for overseeing our Advanced Therapy Investigational Medicinal Product (ATIMP) portfolio and streamlining our processes for trial set up and delivery of this subset of novel trials. You will be well supported by the rest of the trials and research teams along with other multidisciplinary trust ATMP leads to deliver the best in care.

Mainduties of the job
- Oversee all aspects of ATMP clinical trial pharmacy service, including set‑up, management and governance
- Oversee complex cell and gene therapy handling, storage and preparation processes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and third‑party providers to ensure compliance with standards and trial protocols
- Provide expert guidance on ATMP‑specific requirements and regulatory frameworks
- Support the development of SOPs and training programmes for ATIMP handling
- Work on national pharmacy ATIMP working groups to enable the NHS workforce to deliver ATIMP trials

Previous experience working in clinical trials is not essential although oncology/haematology experience will be essential. The role is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in the development of new therapies and you will have opportunity to work as part a wider multi‑disciplinary team.

Specification Qualifications
- Degree in Pharmacy and post‑graduate pre‑registration training
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Pharmacy Practice, or equivalent
- Non‑medical prescribing
- Any trial related training
- GCP training
- Formal aseptic training or qualification
- Management training
- Post registration hospital pharmacy experience within the cancer setting
- Demonstrable pharmacy service to secondary and/or primary care users
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
- Has worked effectively alone and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
- Has worked flexibly and effectively on many small projects or tasks concurrently
- Has managed and implemented service developments
- Has used basic critical appraisal skills in routine work
- Aseptic Services experience
- Knowledge of GMP processes
