Overview
The Referral Management Centre provides a high quality appointment booking, referral management and message taking service for MSK Physiotherapy, Podiatry and IMT Services.
Responsibilities- Book, reschedule and manage appointments across multiple IT platforms, including the Choose & Book system and Patient Administrative Booking Systems.
- Accurately input and process patient data using Microsoft Office packages.
- Take inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients to book and rearrange appointments.
- Monitor and process referrals and manage waiting lists for different services.
- Work flexibly within the hours of Monday‑Friday 08:00 – 17:00 to meet service needs.
- Experience with multiple IT systems such as the Choose & Book service, Patient Administrative Booking Systems and Microsoft Office packages.
- High level of accuracy in data input and patient communication.
- Ability to liaise effectively with service users and manage multiple call types.
- Strong organisational skills to handle referral monitoring and waiting list management.
- Check your Trac account regularly – this is the main communication channel during shortlisting and selection.
- Complete all sections of the application form, including full details of all referees with business email address, telephone contact details and postal address.

- Band 2 clinical and non‑clinical roles and Band 3 non‑clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship.
- Most non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Bands 3‑6) are not eligible unless listed explicitly.
- All non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Bands 7‑9) that meet the prescribed skill level (RQF
6) and salary threshold are eligible for sponsorship. - Applicants must evidence their right to work in the UK or have alternative visa routes.
