Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and develop high-quality Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Coach, mentor, and support staff teams in delivering proactive behavioural support.
  • Promote least restrictive practice and develop strategies to reduce restrictive interventions.
  • Provide specialist support following behavioural incidents and facilitate reflective learning.
  • Analyse behavioural data and incident trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver PBS training, workshops, and competency assessments for staff.
  • Work closely with families, multidisciplinary professionals, and commissioners to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of PBS interventions through measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure services remain compliant with CQC standards, legislation, and recognised best practice.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within health or social care.
  • Strong knowledge of PBS principles, Functional Behaviour Assessments, and behaviour support planning.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern, learning disabilities, autism, and/or complex needs.
  • A passion for reducing restrictive practices and improving quality of life.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • The ability to influence, support, and challenge teams to achieve best practice.
  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • A relevant qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, Psychology, Learning Disabilities, Health & Social Care, or a related field is desirable.
