Priory Hospital Woodbourne has an opportunity for a HCPC registered occupational therapist to join our team.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Coordinate and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans, ensuring effective delivery of interventions and clear communication.
- Respond promptly to referrals, assess patient needs, and plan and deliver appropriate individual and group interventions.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records to monitor rehabilitation and progress.
- Supervise, support, and manage junior staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, patient-centred care.
- Ensure clinical practice complies with organizational policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards.

OverviewPriory Hospital Woodbourne, Edgbaston, Birmingham is a specialist inpatient and outpatient mental health service providing treatment for addictions and a range of mental health conditions, alongside assessments, therapy and psychiatry. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Woodbourne Road and Five Ways railway station approximately 12 miles from the hospital.
Qualifications- Candidates must be HCPC registered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or a relevant degree (including honours degree, postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, or Masters pre-registration qualification in Occupational Therapy).
- Experience working in a mental health inpatient service is beneficial.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £28,407 to £34,851 per year, depending on experience.
