. This Autism Assessor role places your clinical reasoning at the centre of a well-supported multidisciplinary pathway.
As a Children & Young People’s ASD Assessor
, you will work alongside a stable clinical team with robust leadership, established governance and clear escalation routes. This continuity supports consistent assessments, confident diagnostic decisions and successful outcomes for families and commissioning partners.
- £45,000 to £50,000 per annum.
- NHS-aligned pension.
- CPD and study leave.
- Full-time or part-time Monday-to-Friday hours.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver structured autism assessments aligned with governed clinical pathways.
- Gather evidence from families, schools and relevant professionals.
- Contribute to MDT formulation and defensible diagnostic decisions.
- Produce neurodiversity-affirming reports and communicate outcomes sensitively.
- Current NMC, HCPC or equivalent relevant professional registration.
- Significant experience within neurodevelopmental, CAMHS or paediatric services.
- Direct experience contributing to CYP autism assessment pathways.
