Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer (Senior Practitioner)

Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker passionate about improving social work practice and achieving better outcomes for children and families?

We are recruiting a Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer (Senior Practitioner) to join Birmingham Children's Trust's Practice Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to use your frontline experience to support quality assurance, practice improvement and professional development across children's services.

The Role

You will support practice evaluations, audits and improvement activity across the Trust, helping practitioners and managers understand what good practice looks like and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake practice evaluations, audits and dip sampling.
  • Analyse case information, performance data and themes to identify improvements.
  • Provide feedback, challenge and support to social work practitioners.
  • Promote relationship-based and trauma-informed practice.
  • Contribute to service improvement plans and quality assurance activity.
  • Share findings through reports, meetings and presentations.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' post-qualifying experience in children's social care.
  • Experience of auditing, quality assurance or practice improvement.
  • Strong analytical, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to support and influence practitioners and managers.

Pay Rate: £33.31 per hour (Umbrella)
