Healthcare Assistant

We are currently recruitingdedicated Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistants
to support both
children and adults with complex needs
.

Available Role:
Birmingham B43

Client:

Supporting a female adult with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and visual impairment.

Hours:

10:00am–8:00pm (2:1 support)
Pay:£12.71 – £14.87 per hour | Days & Nights Available

About the role Role-Specific Responsibilities
  • Personal care with dignity and respect

  • Medication administration (including PEG/NG where trained)

  • Tracheostomy care and suctioning (where applicable)

  • Manual handling and safe transfers

  • Behaviour support and de-escalation

  • Monitoring and reporting health changes

  • Providing emotional support and companionship

Duties include:

Key Responsibilities (All Roles)
  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with care plans

  • Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities

  • Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing

  • Maintain accurate care documentation

  • Build trusting relationships with clients and families

  • Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies

What We’re Looking For :

Caring nature and genuine desire to help others

6+ months care experience (essential)

Knowledge of epilepsy & challenging behaviour (preferred)

A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach

Strong verbal and written English skills

Ability to work both independently and within a team

Basic IT skills for completing documentation

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
