Job overview

Are you a n RMN with a minimum of 2 years CAMHS experience?

Would you like to work in a clinically interesting, diverse, rewarding and highly supportive environment with opportunity for CPD?

If yes then we are really interested in meeting you.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Referral Management Centre, supporting children, young people and families who are seeking mental health advice and support.

The team is comprised of a range of different clinicians, all working together to help patients get to the right pathway for support they need. You will be supported by a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist within the service, and you will support the junior clinical support workers in out team.

You will then spend time either completing initial screens of referrals coming in, or undertaking more detailed clinical triages. These clinical triages may include reviewing the current referral form, looking at any clinical history we have on our systems, speaking to the young person (or loved one) to hear their voice and understand their needs, speaking to wider agencies to understand their views and support, all with the aim to make a safe triage decision to get the patient on the right pathway for support.

Your day will end with an end of day safety huddle, checking for any support needed before you finish for the day.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be providing clinical advice and undertaking rapid clinical triage for cases referred for mental health support. This can include children and young people facing common mental and emotional health conditions, requiring specialist pathway support such as eating disorders or early intervention in psychosis or those who may need crisis support.
