Band 3 Part Time Medical Secretary in Oral and Maxillofacial

If you are looking to work alongside a friendly team and have an empathetic ear with amazing typing skills and are a quick learner come and join our team. The role is to support the typing of clinic letters and documents, book appointments and liaise with patients and third parties and therefore a good telephone manner is needed. The successful candidate would also be supporting the Senior Medical Secretaries when they are away with support for typing and other duties befitting the role, We are looking for a Part time (15hrs pw) Medical Support Secretary whose duties will include typing of clinic letters and documents, booking appointments, liaising with patients and third patients over the telephone with incoming and outgoing calls hence the need for a clear and positive telephone manner with the individual having an empathetic ear as some patients within the department having speech issues.

The individual will also ensure that the patients pathway is accurately recorded and documented to ensure smooth transition through the department.
