An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Ward 6 as a Ward Housekeeper. Ward 32 is a 24 bedded renal ward, we are a very friendly approachable team who aim to provide the highest quality care for our patients. The housekeeper role is pivotal in ensuring high quality patient experience whilst keeping the ward clean and safe for patients, their families and visitors.
- Interview Date Thursday 08 October 2026
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the ward on a daily basis - ensuring all bed space areas are free from clutter.
- Stocking up and ordering of supplies used within the ward using a computer ordering system.
- Decontaminating of all equipment used within the ward.
- Nutritional support to assist the nursing staff - daily ordering of kitchen stock.

- Be an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team assisting the Ward / Department to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the patients, their families and visitors.
- Report any concerns regarding the patients condition to the qualified nurse.
- Maintain patients privacy and dignity at all times.
- Report to the Nurse in Charge any issues that may prevent cleaning or compromise the safety of the environment.
- Actively contribute to the provision of nutrition of the patients on the Ward / Department.
- May undertake administrative and clinical duties as required.
- To abide by Trust policies and procedures.

PersonSpecification KNOWLEDGE
- oBasic knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control
- oUnderstanding of confidentiality
- oUnderstanding of basic safeguarding
- oGood literacy and numeracy skills
- oGood organisational skills
- oUse electronic resources to input, save and retrieve information, make appropriate use of the eRecord system
- oBasic IT skills
- oAbility to work effectively under direct supervision, as part of the multi-disciplinary team
- oExperience of previously working in a health care setting
- oNVQ Level 2 in appropriate subject (or on pathway) or equivalent qualification / experience
