HR Advisor

Key Responsibilities

• Expertise in Employment Law:
  Maintain a sound knowledge of UK employment law, including employment legislation, ACAS, and CIPD codes of practice, contract law, and discrimination rights, ensuring compliance and best practices.

• Employee Relations Support:
  Provide advice and support on disciplinary and grievance cases, absence management, and coach line managers to foster a positive culture and work environment.

• Case Management:
  Manage a personal caseload of complex employee relations issues, keeping Senior Leadership teams informed of risks as they arise.

• Policy Development:
  Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and practices that align with organisational goals and strategies.

• Strategic Focus:
  Respond to and manage diverse situations while remaining focused on long-term plans, staying updated on industry trends and developments within the HR profession.

• Team Support and Mentorship:
  Guide People Service Assistants on first-line cases and mentor high‑potential team members to support their professional growth.

  Apply strong negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes during disputes or complex discussions with managers at all levels.
