Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HR Generalist / Talent Management

We’re looking for an HR Advisor to assist various contracts across two sites in Birmingham. The role is based at our site in Merlin Park and requires you to drive a culture of positive engagement while confidently juggling multiple priorities—advising stakeholders on HR issues, managing Trade Union relationships, leading communication strategies, supporting recruitment and induction, and ensuring retention and redeployment activities meet statutory and company requirements.
This is a part‑time, permanent position where you’ll work Monday – Friday, between 09:30 – 14:30.
Pay and BenefitsPay: £21,000.00 per annum (pro‑rated). Typical Responsibilities- Support, coach and advise key stakeholders on all HR issues, including discipline, grievance, absence management and performance improvement.
- Assist in devising and implementing colleague communication and engagement strategies at site level.
- Deal with Trade Union representatives on all employee‑related matters on a daily basis, and with Full‑Time Officials as appropriate.
- Contribute to systematic and effective recruitment, selection and induction processes, involving the recruitment team where appropriate.
- Coordinate and manage the HR activity required to ensure retention and redeployment activities are executed in line with statutory and company requirements.
- Support a reduction in potential costly litigation by conducting regular and effective site HR reviews.
- Experience in a fast‑paced HR team, ideally within a logistics or distribution environment, dealing with complex ER cases.
- Experience in Trade Union negotiation is highly desirable.
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards qualification.
- Broad experience of tasks including advising line managers on employee relations issues and setting up processes and systems.
- Knowledge of employment law with experience working within a unionised environment is highly desirable.
