Purpose of JobTo embed equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging across Cross Country by shaping inclusive practice, strengthening culture and values and enabling leaders to deliver fair outcomes. The role provides expert advice on ED&I, uses data and insight to identify priorities and leads practical interventions that improve colleague experience, representation and inclusion across the organisation.
Principal Accountabilities- Lead the development and delivery of inclusion and belonging plans aligned to business priorities and the colleague engagement strategy.
- Embed inclusive‑by‑design practice across people processes (recruitment, development, policy application and ER decision‑making) through partnership with HR and leaders.
- Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders on inclusive leadership, behaviours, culture and values, supporting effective interventions where required.
- Analyse ED&I and engagement data to identify trends, gaps and hotspots; design evidence‑based actions and track measurable outcomes.
- Support the development of inclusive communications and engagement activity, ensuring accessibility and representation in messaging and materials.
- Coordinate inclusion initiatives, campaigns and governance forums as required, ensuring activity is practical, credible and sustainable.
- Work collaboratively with Trade Union representatives and colleague networks where appropriate to strengthen trust, fairness and belonging.
- Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders on progress, risks and recommended actions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Demonstrable experience delivering ED&I strategy and initiatives within a complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of inclusive leadership, culture change and the use of data and insight to drive action.
- Ability to influence and challenge constructively across all levels, including senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate concepts into practical interventions.
- Experience designing and measuring initiatives and embedding inclusion across organisational processes.
- CIPD qualification or specialist ED&I qualification/experience.
- Experience in unionised and/or safety‑critical environments.
