Employee Relations Advisor

Employee Relations Advisor Permanent £36-27k Birmingham Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join a leading housing organisation, providing advice and support across a varied and complex ER caseload.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage a varied caseload covering disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence matters Provide clear and practical ER advice to managers Support workplace investigations, hearings, meetings and appeals Advise on processes, evidence, timescales and potential risks Work closely with managers, People & Culture teams and trade union representatives Maintain accurate case records and documentation Support early resolution through informal conversations, mediation and agreed action plans Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in an Employee Relations, HR Advisory or HR Casework role Strong experience managing complex ER cases Good working knowledge of UK employment law and the ACAS Code Experience advising managers on sensitive people matters Experience working with trade unions or employee representatives Strong investigation, analytical and report-writing skills Understanding of disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence processes Knowledge of the Equality Act and reasonable adjustments CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
