EDI Specialist - Design, Development & Integration

Partnered with a UK wide advanced analytics Logistics company who specialise in delivering bespoke Power BI and Electronic Data Interchange services providing a seamless data exchange aligning third-party platforms, communications, error reductions and enhancing efficiencies.

They are searching for a EDI specialist to design, build and implement Electronic Data Interchange solutions for logistics and supply chain clients. This role is central to enabling seamless data exchange between transport, warehousing, ERP systems and customer platforms.

• Design end to end EDI workflows enabling communication between logistics systems (TMS, WMS, ERP, carrier systems, customer portals).
• Create system architecture diagrams, mapping logic and documentation.
• Develop and configure EDI connections using mapping tools and customer integration pipelines.
• Work with EDIFACT and building robust Data flows supporting high-volume logistics transactions.
• Install and configure EDI communications and integrate EDI messages with logistics platforms for orders, shipments, ASNs, tacking events and inventory exchanges.
• Testing & Quality assurance, documentation and communication and continuous improvement standards.

• Experience designing and developing EDI integrations, in logistics ideally.
• Strong expertise in EDIFACT, X12, XML, JSON, CSV and related mapping principles.
• Strong understanding with integration protocols such as AS2, SFTP/FTP, REST/SOAP APIs and VAN networks.
• Experience integrating logistics systems (TMS, WMS, ERP, carrier APIs)
• Strong SQL, Python, Java script or similar.
