The Opportunity:

This is an exceptional opportunity to further develop your technical and consulting skills within a leading global firm. As a MI & Analytics Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with diverse teams across our learning business, providing data-driven solutions to our clients and learning business.
  • Build relationships with our clients and become a key reporting contact for some of our larger managed learning services clients.
  • Become an SME for data and reporting within our business and act as MI work streams lead on projects.
  • Support senior team members in presenting deliverables to clients.
  • Contribute to our business development initiatives and growth aspirations.
  • Play a vital role in the development of the team by coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.

Your work will be varied and impactful, including:
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining a suite of reports for key stakeholders and clients, covering daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cycles.
  • Creating and maintaining bespoke client dashboards using visualisation and analytical software, predominantly Power BI.
  • Conducting ad-hoc analysis and providing data to enable informed decision-making, with a focus on transitioning these into long-term reporting capabilities.
  • Managing data quality initiatives to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all reports.
  • Developing tactical solutions to automate reporting processes and building robust data models to support analytics deliverables.
  • Understanding the relationship between business processes and data flows and working with stakeholders to resolve reporting issues.
  • Managing client access to external reporting, ensuring compliance with security and contractual requirements.
Leadership & Management:

The Analyst will be responsible for knowledge sharing and promotion of best practices within the team and to junior colleagues.

Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:

The nature of this role will have an important client facing aspect, so strong relationship building skills will be required.

Essential skills & experience
  • Demonstratable experience in a reporting development role, ideally within a Management Information, Business Intelligence or Data and Analytics team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and T-SQL querying.
  • Proven experience in designing and creating interactive dashboards in Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge.
  • Experience in gathering business requirements to achieve reporting objectives.
  • Due to the nature of the work, applicants should either hold or be capable of obtaining UK security clearance.
