SAP Master Data Governance Manager (MDG)

Location: London / Birmingham / Manchester (hybrid with client travel)

• London: up to £90,000
• Outside London: up to £84,000–£85,000

They partner closely with SAP and are trusted to deliver large, business‑critical programmes across multiple industries.

As a SAP Master Data Governance Manager
, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering data governance solutions at the heart of S/4

HANA transformation programmes. You will lead MDG work streams end to end, from strategy and roadmap through to build, cutover, and stabilisation.

This is a manager‑level role combining hands‑on SAP MDG expertise with leadership, client advisory, and delivery ownership.

• Leading SAP MDG work streams across full end‑to‑end SAP implementation life cycles.
• Advising clients on master data strategy as part of wider S/4
  
  HANA roadmaps.
• Designing and implementing SAP MDG solutions and complementary MDM technologies.
• Defining and embedding target operating models for data governance, including ownership and accountability.
• Translating business and functional requirements into high-quality SAP MDG designs.
• Overseeing solution delivery, testing, cutover, and post‑go‑live support.
• Leading distributed delivery teams, including offshore resources.
• Supporting clients with data quality challenges and delivering monitoring and remediation solutions.
• Working across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

• At least 7 years of functional data experience within SAP landscapes.
• Recognised SME experience across at least two major SAP master data objects.
• Delivery experience across multiple full end‑to‑end SAP programmes, from data strategy through to cutover.
• Strong experience advising on data governance models and operating structures.
• Hands‑on expertise with SAP MDG, including deployment methodologies.
• Proven experience leading distributed and offshore delivery teams.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-suite level.

• Broader S/4
  
  HANA functional experience beyond MDG, enabling strong cross‑solution alignment.
• Understanding of full data lifecycle management, including integration with non-SAP systems.
• Experience with complementary MDM tools such as Simple
  
  MDG or similar.
• A track record of building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
