This is a specialised role requiring SC Clearance and operational experience managing secure networks, ideally in a utilities or similarly regulated setting. The position involves acting as the key liaison for network services, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing incidents, and ensuring compliance with strict policies, standards, and disaster recovery protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Liaison:
Act as a primary point of contact for business services, including projects and service transitions. - Network Operations Management:
Oversee resources and third-party service providers to manage the operational control of CNI networks, ensuring full resilience, safety, and security. - Compliance & Audit:
Collaborate with Audit, Security, and Government organizations to ensure operations align with policies and standards for CNI networks. - Incident Management:
Lead the resolution of major incidents, ensuring operational resilience is restored quickly. Conduct root cause analyses and implement feedback to prevent reoccurrence. - Budget Management:
Manage an annual budget and track expenditure against the approved budget plan. - Disaster Recovery:
Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place, maintained, and rigorously tested. - Stakeholder Management:
Work effectively with outsourced partners and service providers to maintain best-in-class network and telemetry operations. - Network Expertise:
Apply strong knowledge of IP/MPLS/Ethernet/SDH networks, network monitoring tools, and fault resolution techniques.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Operational
Experience:
Expertise in IP/MPLS/Ethernet/SDH networks, ideally within a utilities environment. - Network Management:
Proven ability to manage resources, outsourced services, and network operations in an ITIL-based environment. - Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with network monitoring tools, SCADA infrastructure, and telemetry systems. - Compliance Expertise:
Strong understanding of security and external regulations impacting operational networks. - Incident Management:
Experience in managing critical major incidents, including participation in out-of-hours rotas. - Certifications:
Industry certifications such as ITIL Practitioner, CCNA/DA, CCNP, or Security certifications are highly desirable.
