Cyber Security Architect (Contract) – M365 Security + Microsoft Defender

Contract Cyber Security Architect required to design and lead security architecture across Microsoft 365 Security with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Defender (endpoint, identity, email and cloud workloads).

• Own security architecture for M365 workloads (Identity, Endpoint, Email, Collaboration)
• Lead Defender strategy, deployment design, tuning and operational readiness
• Define security controls, reference architectures, standards and guardrails
• Partner with engineering + stakeholders to deliver secure-by-design outcomes
• Produce HLD/LLD, risk assessments, and security design documentation

• Proven Cyber Security Architect experience in enterprise environments
• Strong Microsoft Defender experience (Defender for Endpoint is a must; plus exposure to Defender for Identity / Office 365 / Cloud Apps is ideal)
• Strong M365 Security background (Conditional Access / MFA, secure configuration, threat protection)
• Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles, security governance, and modern security patterns
• Excellent stakeholder management and clear documentation skills
