Service Designer

Service Designer - 3 Month Contract

Our client is looking for a Service Designer to work on an initial 3‑month Outside IR35 contract. This role will primarily be remote with occasional travel to Newbury, London or Birmingham. Candidates must hold an active SC clearance.

• Service High-Level Design (SHLD) document

  Update the customer‑facing high‑level overview of the service solution, used alongside the Programme’s work‑package for designing, building and establishing the Service Model that is compliant with the contract. This document will be used to gain customer approval for the design.

• RACI model

  Provide a high‑level overview of activities involved in the build and run phases, identifying who is responsible, accountable, consulted and informed throughout. This artefact is generally linked to the SHLD.

• Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)

  Collate customer requirements—directly provided or derived—and track compliance. The RTM ensures all requirements are addressed by one or more design elements, providing confidence the solution meets the requirements and enabling demonstration to the customer and stakeholders.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high‑level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Successful applicants will need to be security cleared before appointment, which can take a minimum of 10 weeks.
