Job Overview

Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic ICT Support Assistant to join our Service Delivery team in a fixed term position for 6 months to support our equipment refresh project. The role includes the installation of end‑user hardware and software for the implementation of ICT systems as part of the regular refresh programme. The role will also require the timely update of technical and asset documentation used within the team.

You must have excellent communication and organisational skills; you will be dealing with all staff across the Trust’s Corporate and Clinical Services, at all levels. You also must have experience in the use and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory, knowledge of ICT including hardware and Microsoft Office packages. You will work under the supervision within a number of ICT teams.

Qualifications
  • Maths and English to GCSE grade ‘C’ or equivalent
  • Industry standard qualifications in ICT
Knowledge
  • Excellent up-to‑date knowledge of PC hardware
  • Excellent up-to‑date knowledge of all Windows Desktop platforms in Windows 365, as well as an in‑depth knowledge of the MS Office Suite of products
  • Excellent ability to articulate and communicate effectively with all levels of Trust staff on technical and non‑technical issues
  • Previous experience of a helpdesk or customer‑oriented environment including taking, logging and attending calls.
Training & Requirements

All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust’s induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e‑learning format (approx. 9‑14 hours depending on post) and must be completed by the end of the second week.
