If you like building relationships, advising teams, and influencing better security outcomes, this role will suit you perfectly.

A bit about the job

You’ll join our Third-party Hypercare team—part of Aviva’s Cyber Security function to help protect our critical supplier landscape.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Strong technical understanding of security controls and risk, with the ability to discuss the effectiveness of preventive and detective controls (e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management), interpret standard security reporting, and translate technical findings into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk and control frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST and cyber assurance standards, together with a practical understanding of security schedules and contractual security requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to contribute to SME-level discussions and explain security concepts and expectations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A naturally curious, improvement-driven mindset, with the confidence to challenge constructively, drive positive outcomes and continuously develop knowledge and expertise.
