Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator
Salary: £70,000 - 90,000 per year
Requirements- A minimum of 5 years network IT systems setup and management experience in commercial or industrial environments
- Professional English language skills, both spoken and written
- Deep understanding of IT networks and server system configurations and setup, particularly Windows/Linux servers and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Experience with virtualisation (VMware/Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is advantageous
- Strong understanding of IT security and data protection best practices
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Configure and deploy networked servers, storage, network hardware, related software packages, and other IT system support infrastructure
- Check and validate installations and provide reports
- Configure and troubleshoot different types of connectivity systems
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, apply software patches, and replace hardware as needed
- Support and train customer internal IT departments and technicians so they can take operational ownership of the systems we supply
- Maintain clear documentation trails of system changes and updates
- Travel globally for projects and live in‑country on an agreed rotation, up to 12 weeks in‑country and 2 weeks at home
