Data is at the heart of everything we do. It supports better customer outcomes, effective risk management and innovation across the Bank. This role sits in the Risk Data Office within Risk Data Excellence and promotes effective data management, governance and oversight across the Risk function. You will partner with colleagues across Risk, Change and Technology to ensure data impacts are understood and managed effectively as new products, processes and platforms are introduced.
A key responsibility is managing the Data Side of Change (DSOC) process, a critical component of the Group Change Framework.
DSOC helps ensure that data impacts arising from change initiatives are identified, assessed and managed appropriately before implementation. It focuses on data ownership, quality, lineage, approved data sources and controls to reduce data risk and support successful change delivery.
What you’ll be doing- Support the delivery of the Data Side of Change process across Risk.
- Guide change teams through governance requirements for a wide variety of data change initiatives and identify risks of non-compliance.
- Produce management information (MI) and reporting for data forums and Risk committees.
- Curious, analytical individuals who are passionate about data and enjoy solving problems.
- Full training will be provided; you don’t need to be a data governance expert from day one.
- Interest in data and its role in supporting business outcomes and future AI capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
- Good communication and partner engagement skills; ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships.
- Proactive and curious approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and managing competing priorities.
- Experience in governance, change or related roles is desirable.
- Experience in data, analytics, governance, risk, controls, operations, change delivery or project support is a plus.
- Experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Service Now or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting governance, assurance or oversight activities; working with data, reporting or management information.
- Experience in financial services, risk management or regulatory environments is beneficial.
