Senior Data Solutions Executive (6 month FTC)

Job Location: Remote (with occasional visits to Birmingham office)
Reporting to: Data Solutions Manager
Salary Range: £29,000-£32,500 (37.5 hours per week) plus potential profit bonus, pension and other benefits.

- Annual pay reviews and cost‑of‑living pay increases (subject to company financial performance).
- Script, test and deploy quantitative surveys across multiple methodologies (CAWI, CATI, CAPI, Postal, mixed mode) including routing, loops, piping, quota controls, validation checks and respondent experience enhancements.
- Prepare, validate and manage client, supplier and sample contact files (data cleansing, deduplication, variable coding, secure upload).
- Configure and monitor quotas, sample‑management rules and survey workflows to support efficient fieldwork delivery.
- Support project delivery from inception to data delivery, working closely with researchers, fieldwork teams, clients and suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage and schedule respondent communications (email, SMS) including invitations, reminders and campaigns.
- Provide technical support to CATI and CAPI fieldwork teams during live projects.
- Maintain clear technical documentation (survey specifications, version control, change logs, workflow documentation).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Forsta; escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Support the development of interactive dashboards and visualisations using Forsta Studio, Forsta Viz, Power BI, Tableau and other platforms.
- Assist in preparing high‑quality, analysis‑ready datasets and deliver outputs per agreed specifications and timescales.
- Conduct routine data validation and quality checks (duplicates, outliers, inconsistencies, missing patterns, anomalies).
- Perform data cleaning, recoding, variable derivation and transformation using best practices.
- Combine data from multiple sources ensuring audit trails and documentation.
- Produce cross‑tabulations and standard reporting outputs with agreed formats and methodologies.
- Apply statistical testing and significance measures where appropriate.
- Generate data outputs in Excel, CSV, SPSS and dashboard‑based reporting solutions.
- Ensure consistency and high standards during scripting, output production and dashboard/reporting processes.
- Complete post‑scripting quality assurance tests internally and with research teams; follow QA checklists and record outcomes.
- Work in line with quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 20252, ISO 27001) and use information security protocols.
- Handle data securely following UK GDPR, Data Protection Act and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency via automation, workflow redesign and platform functionality.
- Collaborate on technical solutions that improve quality, efficiency and scalability.
- Share knowledge, promote best practice and support skills development.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and technical excellence.
- Support the field team around Forsta and Snap issues; install required applications and troubleshoot.
