The RoleYou will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions across their Azure data platform.
Responsibilities include:- Designing and delivering end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines from data ingestion through to reporting-ready datasets
- Building and optimising data models, SQL transformations, and workflows to improve performance and reliability
- Managing data quality monitoring, alerting, and issue resolution processes
- Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Enhancing and maintaining the Azure data platform across Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Synapse Analytics
- Implementing security, governance, and compliance controls across data solutions
- Contributing to Agile delivery processes and working with internal and external stakeholders
- Producing clear technical documentation and supporting knowledge sharing across the team
- Strong commercial experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments
- Microsoft Fabric, including Lake houses and Dataflows Gen2
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Advanced SQL skills covering data modelling, transformation, and performance optimisation
- Experience using Python for scripting, automation, and data processing
- Understanding of Git, CI/CD practices, and Agile delivery methodologies
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance standards
- Ability to manage technical delivery independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and workflow orchestration
- dbt for modular and tested data modelling
- Experience working within a regulated environment
- Salary of £50,000 - £60,000
- Hybrid working model with one day per week on-site near Birmingham
