As an Oracle EBS Developer, you will be a technical specialist and role model for application development, driving best practice and supporting the delivery of secure, resilient and high performing applications. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve service quality, resolve complex challenges and contribute to the continuous evolution of our technology estate.
This is a unique opportunity to join the Digital Payment Services team within DWP Digital, helping to shape the future of payment services across government. Working on the Central Payment System (CPS) Application Development Work Programme, you will contribute to business critical initiatives, deliver complex technical solutions and support the development of modern digital services that are transforming the payments landscape for millions of people across the UK.
Job description
You will assist in the design of Application services ensuring alignment with Architecture and Engineering principles. With a focus on operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability and quality you will be accountable for Application solutions.
Specifically, you will be working on the Central Payments System, a customised Oracle e-Business suite application that supports Payments and Accounting for the Departments Benefits systems, you will be required to maintain, support and develop some complex customisations and interfaces to the core Oracle system
Your responsibilities will include but are not restricted to the following:
- Lead the delivery of quality software which is easy to maintain and clean to operate.
- Provide technical support on a specific application.
- Provide SME input into systems integrations and architecture.
- Identify and support the resolution of infrastructure faults.
- Have ownership of technical documents and processes.
