Experience Level: Director

Type: Full Time

Business Area: Cyber

Contract type: Permanent

The role will be working in the UK Digital Healthcare practice within our Technology and Data service line in Advisory, supporting clients across Infrastructure, Government and Health. Our clients are making major investments in digital platforms, data, automation and electronic patient record capabilities, but the value is only realised when technology is adopted, embedded into clinical and operational workflows, and connected to measurable outcomes.

This Director role is designed for a leader who can originate, sell and deliver large national and local mandates where technology deployment, adoption, change and benefits realisation are treated as one integrated transformation challenge.

The team

KPMG is a major advisor to the UK healthcare market, supporting national bodies, systems, providers and local organisations to deliver complex transformation. This role will sit within a growing Cyber and Digital Healthcare business and work closely with cyber, data, AI, cloud, technology transformation, operational improvement, clinical transformation, change and managed services teams. The successful candidate will help scale our market-facing capability in digital adoption and technology-enabled outcomes, with particular focus on EPR, AVT and other digitally enabled health and care workflows.

The role

This is a Director role to lead our go-to-market and delivery approach for Digital Healthcare, with a focus on large national mandates and local health and care mandates that deploy technology as part of a broader ambition to improve productivity, operational performance, staff experience, patient experience and outcomes. The role is not simply about implementing systems. It is about helping healthcare organisations get the best out of technology by shaping the operating model, redesigning pathways, preparing users, embedding adoption, and sustaining new ways of working after go-live.

The successful candidate will be credible with senior healthcare leaders, digital leaders, operational leaders and clinical stakeholders, and will be able to move comfortably between strategy, delivery, adoption and benefits realisation. They will understand the practical realities of implementing EPR, AVT and wider digital health technologies in complex healthcare environments, and will know how to turn deployed technology into changed behaviours, improved workflows and measurable outcomes.

Core distinction: this role is not a pure technology deployment role. It requires deep experience of adoption, change, workflow redesign, benefits delivery and embedding technology into everyday clinical, operational and corporate ways of working.

The Director role will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Work collaboratively with the leadership of the Digital Healthcare business, Technology and Data service line, IGH colleagues, capability leads and alliance partners to deliver the digital health business plan for national and local healthcare clients.
  • Originate, shape and lead major digital healthcare opportunities focused on technology-enabled transformation, including EPR, AVT, digital front door, workflow automation, analytics, interoperability, service redesign and digitally enabled productivity.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex digital healthcare transformation programmes, ensuring that technology deployment is connected to adoption, change, clinical and operational workflow redesign, benefits realisation and sustainable outcomes.
  • Build and manage relationships with NHS England, national health bodies, provider organisations,…
