Supply Chain Data & Performance Manager - Telco Sector

My major telecoms company requires an experienced business Supply Chain Data & Performance Manager to join their supply chain team.

The role sits within a new Business Supply Chain function and creates the single version of truth needed to run a Supply Chain Control Tower. The role leads data quality, KPI design, reporting, analytics and benefit tracking across demand, purchasing, inventory, fulfilment and partners.

Essential Skills
  • Significant performance management, BI, analytics or supply chain data experience.
  • Ability to integrate, reconcile and explain information from multiple systems and partners.
  • Strong KPI, reporting and dashboarding capability, including Power BI or equivalent.
  • Clear data storytelling and senior stakeholder communication.
  • Understanding of supply chain measures, financial baselines and benefit tracking.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience creating trusted reporting from fragmented data.
  • Experience establishing a Control Tower, predictive analytics or automation.
What you'll be doing
  • Define the Supply Chain data model, sources, ownership and business rules.
  • Lead prioritised data cleansing and reconciliation and ensure root causes are addressed.
  • Design KPIs, scorecards and dashboards covering cost, service, inventory, demand, purchasing, partners, risk and compliance.
  • Provide insight, exception reporting and decision support for Control Tower and executive governance.
  • Work with Finance and leads to establish baselines and trace actions to cost, cash or risk outcomes.
  • Run the performance cadence, convert insight into actions and monitor closure.
  • Explain data limitations clearly and improve confidence in decision information.
  • Develop reporting, analytics and automation requirements for the future operating model.
Key decisions you will own
  • Set Supply Chain data definitions, KPI standards and reporting requirements.
  • Prioritise data cleansing and analytical development according to value, risk and operational need.
  • Determine when information is sufficiently reliable for governance, stating limitations.
  • Set the performance review and action-tracking cadence.
What success looks like
  • A trusted Supply Chain performance view is used for operational and executive decisions.
  • Core definitions, ownership and quality controls are agreed across teams and partners.
  • Dashboards identify exceptions, risks and actions rather than only historic activity.
  • Cost, cash, service and risk outcomes are traceable from baseline to delivery.
