Professional Services | Hybrid/Client Facing | Leadership Opportunity

Are you an experienced IT Consultant looking to take the next step into a leadership role, or an established technical leader seeking a new challenge?

We are looking for a Lead Consultant to join a growing Professional Services team, providing technical leadership, mentoring a team of consultants, and delivering high-quality solutions to a diverse client base. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with people leadership and strategic client engagement.

The Role

As a Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and developing a regional team of Technical Consultants while ensuring the quality and consistency of service delivery. You will act as a senior technical authority, supporting complex projects, guiding clients through technology decisions, and helping shape the future direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of regional Technical Consultants.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and development planning.
  • Identify training opportunities and support continuous professional development across the team.
  • Perform quality reviews of technical documentation and project deliverables.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
  • Deliver consultancy, strategic guidance and IT management services to key clients.
  • Meet with existing and prospective customers to identify technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Specify, plan and deliver complex infrastructure and cloud projects.
  • Support recruitment activities and help build a high-performing technical team.
  • Contribute to business strategy and service improvement initiatives.
About You

We're looking for a technically accomplished professional who enjoys helping others succeed and building strong client relationships.

  • Extensive experience delivering IT consultancy services, ideally within a Managed Service Provider environment.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure solutions.
  • Deep understanding of server infrastructure, operating systems, virtualisation platforms and networking technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
  • Understanding of UK GDPR and data privacy requirements.
  • Previous people management or team leadership experience.
  • Microsoft Expert-level certifications, or a commitment to achieving them.
Why Join Us?
  • Opportunity to lead and influence a talented technical team.
  • Work with cutting-edge Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Be part of a collaborative and supportive professional services environment.
  • Play a key role in shaping technical strategy and service excellence.
  • Ongoing training, development and certification opportunities.
