About the role.

Working within the Portfolio & Business Oversight function, the Head of Credit Data & Reporting will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, quality, security, and effective use of data that underpins business decision-making and regulatory reporting. You will be joining an experienced and highly skilled team committed to delivering trusted data, robust governance, and meaningful insight that supports transparency, accountability, and positive customer outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, leading the development of a clear future vision for credit data and reporting while ensuring the effective management of resources, governance, and reporting activities. This role is central to embedding best practice in data stewardship, improving data quality, and delivering accurate, timely, and assured reporting that supports operational, strategic, and board-level decision-making.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of credit data management and reporting within a growing national organisation with a strong social purpose. Working with key stakeholders, data specialists, and external partners, you will champion a "one version of the truth" approach to data management, ensuring data is secure, compliant, and accessible to those who need it while maintaining the highest standards of governance and customer data protection.

The role will lead and support the design and delivery of strategic initiatives focused on data governance, reporting transformation, data quality improvement, and operational excellence. There are a number of exciting and high-impact opportunities to drive innovation through the use of data, analytics, automation, and continuous improvement, balancing day-to-day delivery with the implementation of long-term solutions that enhance how customer data is managed, analysed, and used across the organisation.

This position offers the opportunity to influence future ways of working, lead high-performing teams, and deliver meaningful change through data, insight, and effective governance.

About you.

You are an experienced leader with a passion for using data to drive better decisions, improve outcomes, and deliver meaningful business insight. You bring a strong combination of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and people leadership, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable information for a wide range of stakeholders.

You have experience leading data, reporting, governance, or credit-related functions within a complex organisation, ensuring that data is accurate, secure, accessible, and trusted. You understand the importance of robust governance and compliance frameworks and can confidently balance regulatory requirements with business needs.

An effective collaborator, you build strong relationships across teams and are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, providing assurance through high-quality reporting, and helping shape future ways of working. You have a track record of delivering improvements through insight, innovation, and continuous learning, while creating an environment where colleagues can thrive and perform at their best.

We're interested in people who can bring:

  • Significant experience leading data, reporting, governance, or credit risk activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate it clearly.
  • Experience delivering accurate and insightful reporting that supports strategic decision-making.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • An understanding of reporting and analytical tools such as Power BI, along with broader Microsoft and data platforms.
  • Experience leading, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering positive outcomes through data.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who values collaboration, inclusion, and integrity, and who is motivated by using data and insight to make a real difference.
