Commercial Underwriter

We are currently recruiting for Commercial Underwriter to join our Commercial Lines Underwriting team in Birmingham on a hybrid basis. You'll make an impact by:

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Property, Casualty and Motor Trade business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed
• Experience of Property & Casholdacy or Motor Trade Underwriting is essential
• A sharp eye for detail and a head for strategy
• Relationships with Brokers in the Midlands region would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers
