Family Solicitor | 6+ PQE | Legal 500 Firm | West Midlands (Full-Time)

BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a highly regarded Legal 500 firm with the recruitment of an experienced Family Solicitor to join its established private family law team in the West Midlands. This is a full-time, permanent position offering high-quality work, autonomy, and genuine opportunities for career progression within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of private family law matters, with a focus on delivering empathetic and pragmatic advice to clients. The work will include:

• Divorce and separation
• Financial remedies and asset protection
• Private children matters
• Cohabitation disputes
• Injunctions and domestic abuse cases
• Drafting legal documentation including statements, applications, and consent orders
• Conducting advocacy (where appropriate) and liaising with counsel
• Engaging in client care, negotiation, and resolution
• Supporting marketing and business development activities

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
• Minimum 6 years' PQE in family law (private client-focused)
• Confident in managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong working knowledge of UK family law and court procedures
• Excellent drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Sensitive, empathetic, and client-focused approach
• Comfortable contributing to business development and networking
• Proficient in case management systems and digital working
