Privacy Manager

Location: Birmingham / London (3 days in office)

Salary: Up to £85,000 (depending on location & experience)

Function: Compliance / Privacy

One of our top clients is seeking an experienced Privacy Manager to join its Compliance function.

You will support and oversee data protection compliance, provide pragmatic privacy advice, and work closely with business teams to identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.

• Provide practical, commercially focused data protection advice
• Conduct DPIAs, risk assessments, LIAs and transfer impact assessments
• Assess new technologies involving personal and sensitive data
• Draft and maintain privacy policies and procedures
• Advise on personal data breaches and mitigation actions
• Support data protection aspects of contractual negotiations

• Qualified in data protection/privacy (e.g. CIPP/E, BCS/ISEB or equivalent)
• Proven experience advising on privacy and data protection matters
• Strong knowledge of UK/EU data protection legislation and developments
• Able to manage varied workloads in a fast-paced environment
• Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Experience with emerging technologies or AI governance.
