Legal Counsel - Public Procurement - PQE - B'ham

Overview

You will have the opportunity to be involved at the sharp end from a legal perspective, advising mainly on public procurement contacts, general customer and supplier contracts, GDPR, improving legal efficiencies, internal stakeholder management and management of junior members of the legal team, plus other ad hoc legal queries.

The organisation partners with businesses in both the public and private sector, so experience of negotiating contracts on behalf of public sector bodies is a pre‑requisite. If you are currently working in house and are looking for more varied legal work and more exposure to advising key stakeholders, then this role will offer that. Alternatively, if you are a private practice lawyer looking for a move in‑house, then this role offers fantastic variation and development, and the business has a track record of progressing its lawyers up the ladder.

The base salary is up to £70,000, plus package, and offers you the opportunity to work 3 days from home per week.
