The national team operates across multiple offices, acting for a wide range of clients, including private and public organisations, and sectors such as local government, healthcare, higher education, and commercial businesses.
The Birmingham team is supportive, collaborative, and growing, offering a flexible hybrid working model. As part of this dynamic practice, you will work alongside senior colleagues on complex employment matters, including high-profile litigation, advisory work, and TUPE/transactional projects.
The RoleAs an Employment Associate, you will:
- Advise clients on a broad range of employment issues, across various sectors.
- Manage complex employment litigation and tribunal cases as part of a supportive team.
- Provide guidance on TUPE, restructures, redundancy, employee relations, and contractual matters.
- Draft legal documents, settlement agreements, and provide clear, commercial advice to clients.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across the firm to deliver joined‑up advice.
- Support and supervise junior colleagues, contributing to their development.
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management initiatives.
You will be a qualified solicitor with:
- 4+ years' PQE, with experience in employment law.
- Strong litigation and/or advisory experience, with the ability to manage complex matters.
- Experience advising on TUPE, restructures, redundancy, and employment contracts.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
- A proactive, commercial approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in joining a collaborative, growing practice and supporting the team's continued success.
