Zero Prescription Delivery Driver

Overview

11239 - We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver to work on a 12-month fixed term contract at our 524 branch at Elstree Way, Haydon, Swindon, SN25 4YX
. Your main responsibility will be to promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes. You will portray a friendly professional image and act as an ambassador for the Cohens brand. This role requires you to work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within the designated time and to ensure deliveries are in line with the company's regulated procedures.

You should have very basic computer skills to plan and print daily routes in branch before you set off. You may be required to assist with PR exercises to increase business. You are required to use your own vehicle for this role; therefore, your personal insurance policy must allow for business use. The company will make a financial contribution to the business aspect of your insurance upon receipt of documentation demonstrating any increased premium.

The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to the role. You will be part of a well-established team and deliver a high standard of service to customers and Pharmacy Teams.

• Deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide a high standard of customer service and act as an ambassador for the Cohens brand.
• Work under pressure to deliver within the designated period and follow company regulated procedures.
• Use basic computer skills to plan and print daily routes from branch before starting deliveries.
• Assist with PR activities to increase business where required.
• Use your own vehicle; ensure your insurance covers business use and obtain suitable documentation if required.
• Be flexible to branch opening hours and work as part of a team to serve customers and Pharmacy Teams.

• All roles are subject to a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
• Mileage reimbursement for business journeys: 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile as per HMRC guidelines; fuel receipts should be kept and mileage claims submitted weekly.
