Job Summary
You will lead a large supply planning team responsible for four plants within the UK&I network, including the iconic Bournville factory. Your responsibilities include ensuring robust short to long term production plans, driving delivery of approved business plans, and connecting teams, plans, and stakeholders to deliver business results.
Responsibilities- Lead, engage, coach, and develop a team of 11 in a multi-level organization, creating a high-performance team culture through effective communication, talent development, and inclusive leadership.
- Prepare short- and long‑term end-to-end supply plans for items produced in four UK&I plants covering Chocolate, Refined Beverages, and Candy portfolios.
- Deliver performance against approved master and detailed schedules and long‑range plans, including capacity considerations, using system and tools; prepare and drive IBP supply reviews, escalating issues and securing decisions.
- Ensure plant conformance to schedule, drive labour and capacity plans to secure customer service delivery and safeguard supply.
- Improve supply‑planning processes to meet KPIs such as customer fill rate, plant performance, inventory, waste, and cost targets as set by the business.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Manufacturing, CS&L, PCM, Finance and Procurement to deliver BU and MEU goals.
- Know and follow the legal and compliance responsibilities of the role, ensuring employees understand compliance and promoting ethical behaviour.
- Comprehensive supply‑planning and supply‑chain knowledge and experience, strong business acumen ideally within an FMCG/CPG environment; financial and/or logistics experience an advantage.
- Open to learning new ways of working, taking full advantage of data and systems.
- Drive continuous improvement in ways of working and operational management, focusing on deliverables and process simplification.
- Experience in driving supply review and participation in an IBP cycle.
- Ability to influence cross‑functional teams, working on key priorities and improving the plan.
- Ability to build and sustain motivated and effective teams.
- Knowledge of leading supply‑planning and end‑to‑end supply‑chain concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills.
