Role Summary

Permanent Food Porter in Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (Highcroft Site, Fentham Road, Erdington, Birmingham, B23 6AL
).

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, 08:00–14:30 Monday‑Friday. Occasional bank holiday and overtime may be required.

Salary: £13.45 per hour. A full driving licence is essential.

• Take delivery of food to designated freezer store.
• Check delivery against order.
• Pick and pack ward menu orders from menus.
• Deliver the food to the designated wards.
• Stock rotation.
• Take delivery weekly of laundry.
• Pick and pack laundry on designated days.
• Deliver the laundry to wards.
• Perform other ad‑hoc porter duties, including clinical waste collections and furniture moves.

• Full driving licence (essential).
• Previous porter experience.
• Previous warehouse/stores experience.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
