Sea Freight Import Supervisor

Sea Freight Import Supervisor Were looking for an experienced Sea Freight Import Supervisor with strong FCL experience to join our clients busy import team in Basildon. This is a hands-on supervisory role where youll manage FCL shipments, support the wider team, oversee workloads and ensure shipments are handled efficiently from origin through to final delivery. Salary: £40,000 £ 42,000 per annum Monday to Friday - 8:30AM-5:30PM

Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day FCL import operation Manage FCL shipments from origin to final delivery Support, guide and develop team members Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, warehouses and overseas agents Monitor container allocations, availability and carrier performance Coordinate customs clearance, transport and deliveries Resolve operational issues and customer queries Manage key customer accounts and support the Sales team Ensure accurate shipment records and documentation Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency Experience Required Strong FCL Sea Freight Import experience essential Good knowledge of the end-to-end FCL import process Understanding of Bills of Lading, shipping documentation and UK customs Experience working with shipping lines, hauliers and overseas agents Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills Previous supervisory or team support experience would be advantageous Were looking for a confident, proactive and hands-on individual who can take responsibility, support their team and deliver a high level of customer service in a busy operational environment.
